Vision MAD gives academic talented but economically disadvantaged youth an exceptional opportunity to reach their full potential as leaders and role models in South African society. In doing this MAD’s eventual aim is to create alumni of MAD beneficiaries who create a force for positive change in an emerging democracy.
Mission As friends we appreciate our beautiful country and realize that as a privileged group we have exciting opportunities to really make a difference in the lives of promising less fortunate youth. To achieve our vision, our focus will be on: - Raising funds through exciting and rewarding activities locally and abroad
- Creatively networking with various companies and institutions
- Carefully selecting beneficiaries/beneficiary programmes
- Evaluating and monitoring progress of the beneficiaries
In the process we aim to: - At all times apply excellent corporate governance
- Maintain a 10% admin cost to income ratio
- Create a legacy to be proud of
- Apply a holistic approach to the support of the beneficiary in addressing financial as well as personal needs
- Develop good long-term relationships with friends, families and beneficiaries
